My Stay at the Luxurious Villa Aye, Thailand Phuket

When it came to booking my main yearly family holiday, we decided we wanted something a little different. We wanted something where we could combine our love of a hot climate, great food, luxurious accommodation with space for me to do yoga and enough space to accommodate myself and my family.

A close friend of mine suggested a hiring a luxury villa in Thailand, she did this a few years ago with some friends and loved it.

I decided to go for it, I searched online and found a stunning villa in Kamala, Phuket, called Villa Aye.

From the second I booked it, we were made to feel special. The concierge sent the most welcoming email and asked me if there was anything they could do for me that would make our stay extra special.

I am a massive fan of juicing so it was music to my ears that the fresh produce for my juices would not be a problem, they would order everything in for me. My kids love Marmite, will only drink certain juices and a few other things, so I requested these items too.

A Warm Welcome

Our airport transfers were pre-arranged by the concierge and when we arrived at the villa, we were greeted by the team with warm smiles and a cold drink, it is hot in Phuket, so this was so welcome.

The team explained everything about the villa and gave us a grand tour.  It was breathtaking.

There was a deck by the pool where I could practice yoga, and the view from the infinity pool was incredible. There is a lawn where the kids could play football and we all love to swim, the infinity pool is large, so this was not a problem at all.

The Bedrooms

Our bedrooms were really spacious, beautifully decorated with a large comfy looking king sized bed.  It also had a balcony with a day bed and the balcony was also large enough for me to practice yoga there too…perfect.

Heavenly Breakfast

Personally, I love to start the day with fresh juice.  I gave the chef the list of fresh food for the two weeks of our stay and every morning, we woke up and watched the sun rising, I did an hour of yoga on my bedroom balcony and had a freshly made juice prepared for me.  My family had a large American style breakfast. What a perfect way to start the day.

Our kids are older so they started playing football and pool and I went for a swim in the infinity pool with my husband and found myself getting lost looking out at the Andaman Sea. It was so relaxing.

Blissful Afternoons

After lunch the days were usually spent taking in the amazing views. The sun beds face out on to a panoramic view of the sea and the hours seemed to fly by, reading a book and taking a dip in the pool. A team member would come by regularly offering cold drinks and ask if we needed more towels, those little things made the stay feel even more luxurious.

Dinner is Served

What else can I say but wow…the chef was amazing. We chose meals from the menu that the in house private chef had created and compiled. Every dish was presented like a meal you would expect in a Michelin star restaurant. It really was Thai food at its best. The staff were so attentive and attended to our every wish, again this adds to the luxurious and relaxing feel of Villa Aye.

An Evening with the Family

While there are plenty of places to visit in the surrounding areas, we spent most evenings in to enjoy the villa’s facilities. My husband is keen on football and his team were playing one evening. The team could not have been more helpful in finding a satellite TV channel that was showing his favourite team playing. After the team had served us with a few drinks and the game had finished we played a few games of pool, it really was a brilliant night! We all had a magnificent time as a family.

An Amazing Stay

From the warm welcome to the attentive villa team and luxurious bedrooms, the whole stay was amazing. Villa Aye is the epitome of luxury; we could not recommend it more. We enjoyed our stay so much we are already looking into our booking for next year, we just cannot wait to return and cannot recommend it enough.
